Message From General Secretary
It is with great pleasure and a sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the official website of the VAT Consultants Association of Bangladesh (VCAB).
The launch of this website marks an important milestone in the journey of VCAB as the first professional association in Bangladesh dedicated exclusively to VAT Consultants and VAT Agents enlisted by the National Board of Revenue (NBR). As a Trade Organization recognized by the Ministry of Commerce and recommended by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), VCAB was formed with a clear vision to strengthen the VAT consulting profession and contribute meaningfully to the national revenue system.
This website has been developed as a comprehensive digital platform to share information about the Association’s objectives, organizational structure, activities, professional initiatives, and engagement with stakeholders. It is intended to serve as a point of connection among VAT consultants, businesses, government authorities, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency, knowledge sharing, and professional collaboration.
In today’s evolving VAT landscape, the role of VAT consultants and agents is more critical than ever. Accurate compliance, ethical advisory services, and constructive engagement between taxpayers and the tax administration are essential for sustainable revenue growth. VCAB remains committed to enhancing professional competence, promoting ethical standards, and supporting voluntary VAT compliance through continuous training, advocacy, and constructive dialogue.
Through this platform, VCAB aims to facilitate effective communication, disseminate updates on VAT laws, rules, and practices, highlight professional development programs, and share important notices and activities of the Association. The website will also feature a Members Directory, enabling businesses, stakeholders, and government agencies to identify and connect with enlisted VAT Consultants and VAT Agents, thereby promoting transparency, credibility, and professional accountability.
In addition, the website will regularly showcase VCAB’s activities, including seminars, workshops, training programs, consultative meetings, policy discussions, and collaborative initiatives with the National Board of Revenue, FBCCI, and other relevant institutions. These activities reflect the Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the profession and to act as an effective bridge between taxpayers and the Government.
We firmly believe that cooperation among VAT consultants, the National Board of Revenue, business organizations, and policymakers is key to building a transparent, efficient, and fair VAT system in Bangladesh.
